Redwall, by Brian Jacques, shows that if you are determined, you can achieve anything. Mathias, the mouse, is determined to save Redwall (a place where animals live in peace) from a power-hungry rat named Cluny and from his solders. So he sets out on an adventure through the woods in search of Martin the Warrior’s sword, intent on beating Cluny no matter what it took. Through his journeys, Mathias ventures out on a journey despite some trouble. On one occasion, Mathias was captured by the sparrows and held captive. However, he was determined to escape and fought through the sparrows without the fear of failure. Lastly, Mathias went to fight a snake to reclaim Martin’s sword because the snake, Asmodeus, stole it. Mathias bravely approached Asmodeus for a fight. As a result, Mathias won through his skill and determination to save Redwall. Like the brave mouse, Mathias, if you are determined to do something and you stick to it, you can achieve anything.
