In the story Life As We Knew It by Susan Beth Pfeeffer a girl named Miranda tries to have a normal life when the world I changing rapidly. When a meteor hit the moon so hard that it knocked the moon closer into orbit and changes the world very fast, world wide tsunami, earthquakes, and volcanic eruptions all at once and that’s only the beginning electricity goes on and off, ash from the volcanoes are blocking out the suns rays resulting in snow in September. Miranda tries to live a normal life during all of this.
