The Report Card is about Nora Rowley who is a fifth grader and a genius but nobody just knows that yet. Nora always pretended to be an average student because she hated being pushed around and being different from everybody else. Her best friend was Stephan but he might not really admit it. Stephan thought he was bad and dumb at school if he ever messed up on tests and assignments. Nora did not like to see competitions with grades and kids separating into smart and dumb people. So to prove point she gets Ds in all of her subjects except a C in spelling. Soon her parents find about her report card, her 6 years older than Nora’s perfect sister, Todd the middle child of the family who is big brother of Nora and in eighth grade and finally all of her classmates. Nora and her parents have a conference with all of her teachers and they decide the counselor, Dr. Trindler will do extra evaluation on Nora. Mrs. Byrne the librarian figures out first that Nora is smart. Because she saw on Nora’s login account lots of research more than fifth and fourth combined. She talks to Nora about this and decides not to tell this to anyone yet. Nora has her additional evaluation with Dr. Trindler where she answers questions to an IQ test. Nora scores really high on the IQ test and everybody finds out Nora is really smart. Later Nora and Stephan come up with a plan to start a rebel against tests. Over the weekend when Nora thinks with a cool mind she thinks starting a rebel is not good at all because parents and teachers will be mad. The fact was Nora was the only one who was worried about grades, competition and tests. Stephan called Nora and she did not pick up the phone. When Monday came she found out that was a huge mistake because he made flyers for the rebel and a number of people got zeroes on their tests. To solve this problem Nora suggested that she and Stephan talk to the people who were in the rebel. Nora and Stephan talked to them and admitted their mistake to start the rebel. After that everything goes back to normal cause Nora does not have to take advance/special classes.
