The Melting of Maggie Bean by Tricia Rayburn shared by zasaw

Maggie Bean had a tough year. Ever since her father had lost his job, he spent more time watching T.V. than paying attention to his family. When Maggie's true calling called her, she denied. . Maggie felt insecure about her body, so she swore never to go in a pool ever since she gained loads of weight, because of eating lots of chocolate. Maggie ended up practicing for hours and hours everyday on her own, without the support of her best friend. When Maggie tried out for the Water Wing team, she was heartbroken when she didn't make it. Even if things didn't turn out the way she planned them, they ended up adequate. Maybe people finally saw behind her extra weight, a gifted swimmer.
