Mattimeo by Brian Jacques shared by licar

Mattimeo is a touching story about the son of Redwall’s hero and heroine Mathias and Cornflower. Mattimeo was the son of the brave Warrior Mathias and the charming mouse maid Cornflower. Their son was spoiled when he was young mainly because his father saved Redwall from the Cluny the Scourge. However, though Mattimeo was not good at his studies in Redwall, he can sense trouble when a suspicious rat comes in and joins Redwall. Latter when their yearly feast comes, a fox is at their gate, and secretly kidnaps all the young ones in Abbey. All that did not toast on the wine that the fox gave are slain with the only exception of one survivor that was severely wounded. What happens now? Mattimeo is taken by the fox and chained on a wagon as a slave to do hard labor. He cannot escape. So what can he do now? As son of the brave Warrior he is supposed to save his friends like his father did, but can he after all he does is fooling around in Abbey?
