My Sister's Keeper is a really sad story that makes you think. Anna's sister, Kate, has a really rare blood and bone marrow cancer..Kate's parents searched for a match that could donate blood, bone marrow, etc. for Kate. Anna was the answer. She was a perfect match for Kate. As a result of this, she had saved her sister's life by donating her blood for surgeries and bone marrow transplants many, many times. But because of Kate's condition, their mother barely paid attention or cared about her other children. Jesse, Kate's brothers, screwed up his life doing drugs, alchohol, stealing, etc. for the attention that he never got. One day, Kate had a kidney failure. Her mother wants Anna to donate a kidney, even though it may affect Anna for the rest of her life. Anna didn't want to donate a kidney, so she hired a lawyer to fight for her own medical rights. During the case, everyone realized out that the lawsuit wasn't all Anna's idea, but Kate didn't really want to live with her condition anymore. In the end, the judge ruled in Anna's favor. On the car ride home, a terrible car accident happened, and Anna died. Her mom was so worried about Kate her whole life, she didn't expect anything to happen to her other children. Later on, doctors used Anna's kidney for Kate's transplant, and stored her other organs for future use. Kate lived through the process. With this shocking surprise, Jesse started turning his life back around, and stopped doing drugs. The family started to love one another more, because what happened bonded them together.
